Topic: First Strike doesn't work with any patch order

I've tried all the patching orders for BF2142 and FS and still the mod won't work. I have BF2142 patch 1.40 and FS 1.1. BF2142 works fine but when FS in multi-player mode finishes loading, it kicks me out of the game entirely. Also there are only about 10 servers all with 0 people playing. I have only "same mod" selected as well. I tried a local game and it loaded fine but there was no mouse. Please help me cause I'd really like to play this mod!

I had the same problem man. I got it to work by restarting my computer between every step. Install BF2142 then restart. Install BF2142 v.1.4 then restart and so on...  It will work but remember that it is a mod that's not complete. Sometimes mods are tempermental. Just be patient and take your time. It should work eventually.

Update punkbuster and restart if your being kicked.

So, should I reinstall BF2142 with full updates, then do FS with full updates. Or should I install BF to 1.25 and install FS 1.0, then BF to 1.4 and FS to 1.1 (all with restarts)?

Intstall 2142 N/S ETC and patch to 1.4. Switch  comp off  and on. Try 2142, make sure it works. Install FS 1.1, Play the game

OK, I got it to load a FS MP map, but then kick me out to the server screen saying I had modified something and I need to reinstall BF. It also said this when I tried playing a BF MP map. Plus there still were only like 9 servers for FS with no one playing them.
