--------------------

I am an avid Starwars fan and have been since I was little. With many illustrated books and all the movies as references. As well as many toys and models. I helped work on an old starwars and rpg mods for Tribes (granted very much more simple to work with). I am learning to use Maya (able to produce decent models) and better use the modding tools for BF2, I am able to make working maps. I am getting better at these things as I study and do research on tutorials and through practice.

I saw this mod as I have been playing around with the Battlefield 1942 Starwars mod Galactic Conquest. I am very interested in helping make this mod a complete success in whatever way I can!

Re: Maya Modeler/Mapper

Hi Jason do you have texturing experience ? are you comfortable creating LODs and COLs ?
Have you any references to any of your work ?  How much time do you have to spend on MOD work ?
And we communicate through MSN. smile

Re: Maya Modeler/Mapper

I can get MSN msgr, though I am reluctant to do so. But if that is how you communicate I can accomodate.

I can do Level of details as I have learned how with the BF2 tutorials and such. I have a decent amount of time to give to mod work. I have a family and work full time but besides that you would be suprised how i can squeeze time in.

Oh and No, I do not have any mod work examples any longer. I just have gotten back into modding because of this mod. And by how much I enjoy BF2. It is a great engine and game. Plays great on my top of the line pc. It also helps with the modeling and such.

However If there is something you need done start simple if possible that you need, let me know and i can try to provide it as a start, for examples.

Re: Maya Modeler/Mapper

I forgot to mention, as far as texturing goes, I am familiar with the process but I would much rather leave that to the professionals. I am a good artist on paper but not when it comes to doing it on pc.

Re: Maya Modeler/Mapper

Hey Indec. Nice to have you on the forums smile Before we consider you for any position within the team, we'd like to see at least a few examples of your work. If you don't have anything on your computer, perhaps you could create a model or two just to give us an idea of where your modelling skills stand. After you've finished a sample model, could you also upload it to one of our members so we can examine your modelling techniques as well.

Thanks smile
