I agree but i seen an interview with lucas and he said he didnt really even want to make eps 1, 2 and 3 so i doubt we'll ever see 7, 8 and 9. Unless like you say someone els does it.

Something a bit dodgy i just read about the new series. It said theres not gonna be any big name characters. i.e. the skywalkers. Hows a series set between revenge of the sith and new hope gonna work without darth vader???

Well isn't it supposed to be a series telling smaller stories? Almost like an anthology show set in the Star Wars universe or something? That should work really well, at least that was the last I heard (though to be honest I haven't checked up on the live action series for a while now). You don't have to tell stories about Darth Vader for it to be Star Wars, there are lots of other stories in that universe to tell.

As a fan who watched the original trilogy at the cinema and some one who was around when star wars was at its height in the early 1980's, I feel that the recent trilogy has not had anywhere near as a significant  impact on the so called 'next generation fan base' Lucas was trying to enourage. Why he insists on churning out new clone war stories is beyond me, he should be dusting off the costumes and models used in the original trilogy and concentrating on new stories for the live action series where the real money and existing fan base is. There is potential to make Star Wars great again and for some reason hes skirting around the issue of the original trilogy which I find rather annoying. All Lucas is doing is flogging a dead dog!

Well with this new series set inbetween the two trilogies I guess there is the possibility that there will be more original trilogy style stories in the mix.

I am sure there are people out there who love cartoons and even the new trilogy..........but ask yourself would you rather see the live action like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iHWW7ktrkU or more clone wars cartoons?

I dont even think, I know what I want. Let us have live action stories that take place inbetween the trilogies and even during the last trilogy. Essentailly stories that we hear about in the films but never actually see. Recycle all the old props, costumes and puppets and ditch the green screen which didnt do the actors any favours in the most recent films. Have guest appearances from actors from the original trilogy. Produce a 2 hour pilot episode to test the market, then make millions from DVD sales!
