Re: First Strike V1.2

let's just hope the teamwork will stay when new players join

Once we get past the horde of beginners driving mortar freerunners to the front and getting them blown up, flying fully loaded lambdas too low so they trip over their very long downward-facing wings, trying to back-cap flags in Push mode maps, or throwing grenades they think are medikits at their teammates...

...this'll be awesome big_smile .

Re: First Strike V1.2

Prone in FS is actually more effective than crouch.. maybe doesn't seem it to you, but it is coded as such (less deviation when you prone).

Re: First Strike V1.2

Depends on the situation of course. For further away foes I like to go prone, makes you a much smaller target and most increase acurracy, but crouching is good if you're caught a bit off guard and closer, as lying down means you're gonna have to look up and they can just rain blaster bolts down on you. I dunno. Depends on the person and their play style.

But either way, if you're running and firing from the hip, you ain't hitting anything.

Re: First Strike V1.2

We need tutorial videos. There's lots of small and big stuff in FS that's important to remember, but far from obvious to new people. As for explaining to new players, we can all do that really easily. Every time I'm on Endor, I send a message saying, "Remember, imps can't retake control points" at least once during that round. I try to always do so in a friendly way, and there's almost always someone saying thank you.

I'll make an "x Important things to remember" thread when 1.2 comes out. I'm also considering gathering all the loading screen tips (we've got new ones!) and posting them in a forum thread, even though there's a lot of them.
