Idon't know how this happened, but on Bestine I was on the cliffs overlooking a spectacular battle... And all of the sudden I saw a rebel dude just fly into the air, not like, dead, but sort of standing and falling... I think it may have been the "freefall" animation you seen after falling a certain distance downwards, but he was going up...

Was on 32p Research station (with twice that many players :S ), moving with a good dozen rebels down the leftmost canyon.  We'd just taken the flag when an AT-ST emerged out of the snowstorm ahead, blasting away at everything ahead of it.  All of us scattered behind snowbanks and drifts, and waited for it to move into the flag.  Within seconds it stomped up into the makeshift ambush and in the blink of an eye all of us opened up with our blaster rifles.  It took fire from every direction.  At first it tried to start picking us off but before long the pilot realised that he was quickly losing health.  At that point he apparently went bezerk and started stomping around in a confused circle, frantically throwing blaster fire and grenades in every direction until we brought it down.

Though I have to say that, and also later in a ryloth game where TY's entire squad and I formed a 3-ATST hunting pack that ravaged flags and T1-Bs, proves to me that the AT-ST is still the best vehicle in the mod.  Whether it's alone or in groups, marching through trees, sand, or snow, there is something frightening, awe inspiring, and almost romantic seeing it on the battlefield. 

The only trick most people have to realise is they can't just march them alone anywhere.  Move up with a squad, provide the tide-turning support they need, and have a repair wrench in-hand so you can pull back and fix it up after the assault.  They're not just a throw-away vehicle.  If you're good enough to keep it alive and use it in a combined ops, then you can win maps with the vehicle.
