Topic: CTD issue in 1.2 (at least for me)

I don't know if anyone else has gotten repeated CTDs while playing but I have gotten about 50 so far in 1.2. By CTD, I don't mean the EA master server kicking the player. But the game just crashes instantly and puts me to the desktop.

The maps where this occurs on are:

Battle of Ryloth
Rhen Var Iceplains
Endor Strike Team
Endor Clearing

All the other maps work flawlessly...so far. I have the newest nVidia drivers for my FX 5500 (yeah I know it's old but it plays 2142 fine).

Any help is appreciated, as those maps are really fun.

Only one i ever get is Yavin, but i got a fix now.. i hope.

I think I fixed it. I'm not getting any CTDs anymore. All I did was set the refresh rate in the game the same as it is on the desktop.

yep that definitely helps.  also worked to stabilize BF2142.
