Topic: Superping since 1.25

Hi all, first post! Love the mod.
Since I downloaded the 1.2 patch (and the hotfix) I haven't been able to play due to excessive lag, and I seem to be the only one affected by it on server, meaning that the problem is probably on my end. I had no trouble with the 1.4 Beta, so what have I done wrong?

I use XP and have
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo - 2 x 2.13 gig
Motherboard: Asus 775 sockel - Vista kompatibelt
RAM: 2048mb
GFX-card: Nvidia Geforce 7900GT - 256mb

Any help is deeply appreciated smile

Well due to little to no limit to the visibility distance you probably will lag more.  Not to mention more players on the server will create a lot more lag.  I don't think there's any other advice than to turn your graphics down a little.

and if its a ping problem, then you might aswell check the server location

I've got this problem, too. My ping is generally over 300 and sometimes reaches 1000+. My Internet is kinda slow in general right now for some reason, though, so it's just as likely an ISP/router/whatever problem.

But the odd thing is that I've tried it on empty servers and on maps I've played before (with the same graphical settings) without problem, yet as Safe-Keeper says, my ping averages from 200 - 900... Heeeelp!

Play on a server thats closer to you, that will help with the ping.

I now tried playing with incredibly low graphics and on a server with low ping, doesn't matter. I have no idea what's happening. I simply average 600 in ping, no matter what server I use.
