Topic: CTD in multiplayer 1.2

I been palying fs since 1.1 downloaded 1. and played it,and then one time i wewnt to join a server,pushed "deploy"and the gaem starts to start,then CTD so i tryed again on diffrent servers,dosn't work.so i left it alone for about two days.i come today topaly and foret about my CTD problems,downloaded the hotfix,and it was the same thing,it just stops working?

make sure your running patch 1.40 on BF2142, then install FS and patches in order.
Hope that helps, also disable antivirus programs and see if it works.
If your running Vista make sure you have administration rights enabled, punkbuster needs to be enabled in game also.
If you have the 1.50 beta installed for bf2142, you will need to revert back to 1.40.

Also, if you were trying Yavin, and you have Vista, try running in windowed mode. Also, the "Ewok on a stick" server is a testing server, so it will CTD any non-testers.

Delete your Cash located here, C:\Documents\Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike that will solve the problem.

Also a good idea to ensure your in game resolution and desktop resolution are the same (ie. both at 1024x768 @ 75Hz).

well,ki emptyed the cash,and i statrted to paly,same thing,and it said,memmoery error Memory.dll sometrhing could not be found,i i read i think imperial said thats bf2142 not fs,the second time i tryes a message came up and said another program caused this program to shut down which real mad me amd,probaly security center or something,Mecfe or waht ever,but i think im going unistall everything icluding fs and reinstall,andshut down programs blocking it.

if you get a memory error, you should try to delete a file called 'radial.cdb' in your BF directory, its a hidden file though, so you gotta display hidden ones...
