Anyone else using the downloaded version of 2142 with the EA Downloader ?

The 1.5 patch is not available on it yet and the downloadable 1.5 patch wont work with it sad

any solutions ?

Well, ever since the 1.5 patch the game's asking me to insert my DVD. Well, the DVD's in the drive. Tried cleaning it, etc, no go. So can't play FS _or_ base 2142.

Anyone else had this problem?

I think Straider had a similar problem. I will check with him if I see him on IRC before he notices this thread.

EA has a terrible habit of releasing broken patches.  Anyone recall 1.4 client patch being completely broken and them having to release a new one a few days later? Man, maybe we should lend them some of our testers...
