Certain ranks have so high score's to make them almost impossible to get, the dev team will peridoically hand these ranks to players who have proven themselves in battle.

Then why not make ranks that are more attainable?  It makes no sense.  And how do you "prove" yourself?  Isn't proving yourself measured by your points and achievements as recorded by the ranking system?  Isn't that the whole point of the ranking system?  My question remains: what precisely does one have to do to skip nine ranks?

Re: Thanks for your service...

The ranks awarded in this news update are temporary ranks awarded to the players with the highest scores/time in game at the current time the ranks will be reassesd monthly. The rank is simply to officially say you are one of the current best players.

As for why do the ranks arew not more attainable, if you could earn all the ranks in a week, whats the point in having a ranking system.

Re: Thanks for your service...

I'd be playing (and in turn be the recipient of a kickpie promotion) but my finals and regents are coming up, not to mention these class projects I've to do.  Plus I've been playing Zombie Panic:  Source for the past 1 1/2 weeks.
