I got the same error with the 1.5 patch.

First, download the FULL 1.5 patch (500MBish).  No incremental.

Uninstall 2142 and FS.

Reinstall 2142, patch to 1.5.

Reinstall FS, patch to 1.25.

That worked for moi.

Yeah I just did that, didn't work\

And also bandu, when I try to install 1.25 over 1.5, it says that there's nothing to do and it's already updated.

Well, I found out that FS will not work if you install FS over 1.5 you need to install FS before you install 1.5

I don't know... I installed FS first and patched 2142 to 1.5 afterwards.  Still getting the bug.  Wish there was a def answer to this problem.

Ok I think I found out what might be the problem on my end anyway.  I just opened up 2142 and on the EA account log in page it still says "v1.40".  So basically I'm going to have to assume that the second patch I downloaded for 2142 didn't work.  It's not the first time that this has happened.

It's a miracle that the FS team was able to make this mod with EA's excellent (yes~I'm being sarcastic) programming and support.  So anyway, for you guys having the same issue; you might want to start up a game of 2142 just to see what version it says.  As for myself, I'm going to try to download 1.5 for the 3rd time.  WOOOO!  I love crap-shoot downloading!

what I noticed is that the 1.5 conversion packs I found never would work , when i did the "full" 1.5 pack it worked 1st try.
So , avoid some of the 1.4-1.5 conversions.

Thanks but I tried both actually and they both failed sad. 

GOOD NEWS THOUGH!  I just downloaded the incremental again (less time) from a different source and it worked!  So fellas... try that and I hope it solves the issue for you aswell.  Good luck and may the Force be with you.
