Re: The FS Pilots' Lounge

Have any of you guys had a problem getting your roll controls to save after exiting the game? Also can anyone figure out how to get the boost to work on the joystick?

Re: The FS Pilots' Lounge

Just thinking aloud here, but you could possible just change it manually by editing the cfg file and then "locking" it by making it read-only.

Yes. Make sure what your roll controls are also binded to keys ( like a & d ), seems what BF 2142 sometimes don't save the Joystick config if the primary control is not binded to a key.

Also can anyone figure out how to get the boost to work on the joystick?

Bind sprint in the Infantery Player Controls ingame to a joystick button might work.

Didn't recall how i do it, because i copy and paste my BF2 Air Control back in 2007 when FirstStrike 1.0 was released wink

Thanks guys

Re: The FS Pilots' Lounge

A great way to map controls is to have a programmable device allowing button mapping to keys.
Otherwise your at the mercy of "windows game controller" inputs.
Im actually using a combination... throttle is the programmable device, so it has all the functions I couldnt fit onto the stick, set as keyboard strokes. The stick buttons map thru the windows game controller environment. Rudder pedals are also analog and fed thru the gameport with the stick.
Without a combination, I would have trouble making certain things work.
(some of the software driven controllers totally suck at making this easy - saitek )

Re: The FS Pilots' Lounge

Is it worth buying a stick for this mod or should I only buy it if I had a flight sim?
