Re: FLYING SPEEDER BIKES (or, death from above)

That has kind of become part of the game though and it doesn't usually work that well if they are around the flag and you jump off you usually have 50 health left and are easily killable.

Re: FLYING SPEEDER BIKES (or, death from above)

The main problem is that unlike in PR, you can deploy a spawn beacon without people near you. Which means that on Mos Espa, a single Squad Leader can easily fly past the Rebel lines, drop a spawn beacon and have a whole squad spawn behind the enemy.

Flying speeder bikes can be extremely annoying, yes. The trick, however, is to adapt the maps and CPs to them, as was done on Endor Strike Team where we added turrets to blast the Heck out of whoever tried to land atop the Imperial Outpost. Though... that map should still have a hill or tower or whatever some distance behind the IO CP so that you get a chance to shoot at people atop the IO.

Re: FLYING SPEEDER BIKES (or, death from above)

Those turrets do not reach everything, still a rather nice blind spot.   While your trying to kill them with 2 people in turrets, they have already turned the point grey and its lost.

Also, there are no turrets on the Research Center map.    People set up on top of the building and you have to keep a squad inside the building just to prevent them from caping, no battle takes place.   Its boring and annoying.    Whats the point of having a well designed and interior if people rarely ever fight in there?   It would be much better if there were stairs going up to the second floor interior, and doors going outside.     Their already is an interior 2nd floor, why not take advantage of it?
