Re: Remember how we all hated vanilla's stat feature?

There are stats now? Oh well, doesnt affect me. I play FS because it is a good mod.

Yeah but in FS you get like +150 points for a badge. and you can get the badge multiple times. So why not stick with repairing when  youre good at that or whatever.

For badges you only get the points once.  You can get the badge multiple times tho.   Had like 8 Heavy Weapon badges before but score did not nearly match it.

If their were Silver and Gold improvements on the badges tho, that would be nice smile

While teamkilling for a vehicle is not a problem in FirstStrike, BF2 would benefit from a system there you must apply to a vehicle like to the commander.
If more players apply to a vehicle, the player with the highest rank in this vehicle would get it.
(I know what were are to few maps with enough fighters for all, so the fighterwhores will allways get a jet- but this could easily fixed with some Aircombat maps with 8 jets for each side, so each player has a chance to make his "golden wings".)

naah, when u apply the commander thingy on vehicles, only the 24/7 nerds will get to play with teh vehicles. when u are a gamer that doesn't have lot's of time to play, u will never get into a vehicle and vehicles are one of the best things for the bf series.

and the 8 jets for each side will get a lot of balancing problems

If I cared about stats, I would've stopped playing SL a long time ago... Carrying a squad to victory doesn't get nearly as many points as mowing down the enemy with an E11/A280.

No difference to now.
The 24/7 nerds (if they don't play 24/7 Karkand / Gibralatar Inf only) take the vehicles, and because they are playing 24/7 you don't have a chance against them.
But a 24/7 chopperwhore only ranks up for a chopper, if he wants to play a other vehicle he should it first have to play it free.

Imperial Convoy Raid works fine with even 32 Fighters per Side...

A BF2 Map in the same style would also work well, like the AiX Map RedDawn does work well.

You can do both, you know smile

Had a fantastic time yesterday on that Tatooine map...whats it called? something...ine. Was imps-my squad held the lower flank until we got pushed back to cliffs. The amount of squadplay then was staggering, medic-ing, resupplying... and a whole lot of firepower keeping the rebels stuck down in Slave quarters.

In the end we lost that game by a narrow margin because the other flank fell, but we got some serious pointage, and lots of fun.
