Hm, how is the situation with 2142 Servers in SouthAmerica / Brazil ?

Try to get into a bigger community around a good BF 2142 Server and try to convince them to test First Strike (or the First Strike Singleplayer Mod).

Whats how Mods get promoted.

The reasons contributing to a small fanbase for FS are:

1) Not many people got conned into buying BF2142 compared with BF2 (FS is a splinter being played on a splinter of the BF2 market)

2) The first FS release unfortunately was timed badly with BF2142 patch releases and had crash issues as well

3) The first FS release (again unfortunately) didn't show servers right away (you had to click another tab) and from first-hand experience I can tell you some people didn't get past even that

4) 2142 is based on an engine that is three years old, and the cutting-edge gamer player base has moved on

5) FS is not using an engine from a "classic" SW franchise game such as Jedi Knight whatever

6) Casual players, or many of them at least, do indeed want to hack and slash as Luke or Vader or Qui Gon Tanqueray.

He is seeing the server, only two ever have anyone on them....

yes, but he may not be seeing all there are.
There is more than one or two.. i regularly see about 23.

I mark the filters not full and populated.. no sense in being alone on a server wiating till a sufficient amount of ppl log in, i want to jump in a populated server and doa serious game

The 21-22 empty servers do not count, do you enjoy playing with yourself more then playing with others?

This post had NOTHING to do with the recent 2142 patch or anything like that.  It was a poste on someone with crappy ping not having any populated servers to play on since all the populated servers have High Ping booter scripts running.

They do count, since there's a huge difference between seeing only one or two servers and seeing all 23. If it's the former, you've set up your filters wrong or something. If it's the latter, nothing's wrong.

No, he didn't set up his filters wrong, he was purposfuly limited it to populated servers.   And actualy seeing 23 unlpayed servers and only 1 or 2 with anyone in it can be depressing and discuraging.

But those 22 servers mean absolutly nothing to anyone choosing what server to play on, since they are empty.
