Topic: ability to play bf2142 w/ fs

This question may sound stupid and is probably answered somewhere but i didn't know where to look.
Anyway here goes..
if I install FS will i still be able to play the original bf2142 without a complete re-install if so how?

Yes. In BF2142 (and for that matter, BF2) you'll find /mods folders. Every mod you download is installed into its own sub-folder in /mods, and thus the mods don't overwrite the original game or each other smile .

thanks so when i run the install .exe will it automatically install in the mods folder or do i manually select it. I'm really excited to play. bf2142 is my favorite game and star wars is just plain AWESOME. thanks for the welcome! Also one more question will there be seperate shortcuts or will i have to somehow switch in-game?

There is a separate shortcut, but you can also switch ingame by clicking 'Community'>'Custom game' then select FirstStrike and click activate.
