Hey guys, I have an idea. For next weekend's community game evening, we should get as many people as possible onto a server with battle recorder and do some organized staged battles. I think that we could get a lot of really juicy PR material that would help expand our player base, especially with the screen shotting and recording work of people like Omen and Safe keeper, and inspire people to work as a team. For this, we should also make modified versions of some of the maps so that we can get a larger number of vehicles of a certain type. Here are some ideas that I've tossed around in my head, feel free to add on.

1. 30+ players, in a cloud of X-wings and Y-wings, descending from high altitude in formation on the Battle of Yavin map. This is a must, and will get any star wars fan or team player's blood pumping.

2. At least 4, maybe 5, six man Rebel squads manning shielded barricades on Ryloth, in front of one of the bases.

3. A lambda shuttle heading from the Star Destroyer to the ground on Ryloth, with six TIE fighters (and two TIE Bombers?) escorting it.

4. 16 on 16 (or more ) on Ryloth, with the Imperials gathering their vehicles and attacking a Rebel fortification. Rebels call for air support, and a flight of four air speeders flies in and destroys one of the tanks. Imperial soldiers fire two torpedoes and destroy one of the speeders as they come around for another pass. Rebel sniper eliminates one of the missile stormtroopers. Imperials call in TIE Bomber support to kill the sniper as their vehicles overrun the Rebel position.

5. At least 12 TIE Bombers on Ryloth or Mos Espa (modified of course), flying in formation and bombing a Rebel fortification on the ground.

6. Battle of Taloraan, with all capital ships on a side manned, and fighters flying through the fleet pre-Endor style. Do this for both factions.

7. Opposing lines of tanks facing off against each other, with torrents of lasers, cannon shots, and missiles flying to and from. Imperial tanks would be charging. Doesn't matter which map (I wouldn't be able to help on Rhen Var Ice Plains, my computer crashes during that map).

8. TIE Bomber group flying in formation toward Rebel Transports on Escape from Hoth (with TIE escort).

9. Every mannable turbolaser turret on the Death Star, firing randomly into the sky as Rebel fighters fly low.

10. Three X-wings racing down the Death Star trench, with three TIE fighters in pursuit behind them.
