Re: The Lisbon treaty

One fact is that Humans will never stop killing humans.
We are the most brutal and selfish species in the ecosystem.
We eat our own, lie, steal, cheat, because we are humans and masters of the universe!
(until something bad happens and we remember to pray suddenly)

But good for Ireland anyway !
I half Irish and half German.

Im not old enough to vote but if I were Id have voted yes. TBH I dont fully understand this treaty

Wtf?

I would vote a big fat no. Why? because it is an attack on democracy and national sovereignty. It is just another attempt at centralization of power. Our Government is already way too big and intrusive but I'm not about to vote to give power over my country to bureaucrats in Brussels.... the bureaucrats in London are bad enough.

Basically

a.) The bigger the Government , the smaller the freedom
b.) The more localised the Government, the more input you have.

Thank you the people of Ireland smile. I am positive that we would vote no aswell.....if we were given the chance (as was promised)

How long before they repackage this treaty under a different name ?  Not long I bet....

Would better, because during the 1990 to 1999 Europe peaceful ways didn't work well on the Balkan, and the war 1999 against Yugoslavia was fight unilateral and without UN approval... something most people tend to forget to keep a moral high ground... wink

And I still don't know what that threaty was about sad

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eu

The EU traces its origins to the European Coal and Steel Community formed among six countries in 1951 and the Treaty of Rome in 1957. Since then the EU has grown in size through the accession of new member states and has increased its powers by the addition of new policy areas to its remit. The Treaty of Lisbon was signed in December 2007 with the intention to amend the existing treaties to update the political and legal structure of the union. The ratification process was scheduled to be accomplished by the end of 2008. This target is currently jeopardized by the negative outcome of the Irish referendum in June 2008.

I think 1787 the some people of the north American colonies have the same thoughts wink

While most of us (the peoples of the EU and the USA) like to have the benefits of a great free market (cheap prices, great selection, easy travel, the ability to take a job or study every there, no need to change currency) no one likes a strong central government...
...but every one shakes his head if the lack of a strong central goverment leads to politic paralyzation.

Re: The Lisbon treaty

Everyone of us , everyone still living in a "free" nation ...
We must fight and destroy the insect culture of central governement .
Its like communism or socialism but 5 times worse, and seeks to imprison all non-royal ruling class peoples into a peasant/worker/slave arrangement .  This is a human thing on earth , not some country thing.
Its called the "new world order"  and the NWO is the most vile rotten maligned conspiracy ever perpetrated on people.
We will crush the NWO after the AMerican Revolution II .   It comming , and hamsters willing I will be at the front.  As Bandu observed, government must be balanced , and when the balance get upset, the governments become oppressive.
Theres a reason why the American Revolution II wont be stopped by any government ( not even our own rotten corrupt lying stinking filthy government ) and thats because United Stated Citezens are the best armed civilian army in the world.  Figures why they want to take all your guns away doesnt it ?
Thay just wish they had my stuff pinpointed. And I have lots of stuff ...
They know whats comming and tehy know they cant stop it.
Politicians prefer unarmed peasants.
