Topic: Game crash at startup

Good evening
first I would like to say:
I was looking for a answer to my problem but I found nothing.
I have Windows Vista 64bit (german version). A Geforce 9800GTX and the newest drivers my pc.
Also I have BF2142 v1.50 and FS v1.25.

Now to my problem.
When I decide to start FS the .exe chrashes with the following crash diag:

I have tried to fix this problem with tips who helped by the shader problem but it wont work.
Can someone help me please?

have you been able to play before?
also with newest drivers do you mean the nvidia phisixs driver beta?

but anyway it looks like a dx error. search the microsoft site for dxsetup. its a web updater, run it. reboot and try again

I was able to play before but on my XP System. I have this new computer since 6 weeks and on this it doesn't work.
I have the newest drivers on my pc but no beta driver.
Also I have done the xd update but this doesn't effect on the problem.

I'm confused because I can play the normal BF2142 without having problems but FS doesn't work.
They use the same RENDDX9.dll file and I don't know why this file chrashs FS but not BF2142.

If you havent: Run it in Adminstrator mode and/or compleatly disable User Account Control.

It is disabled and I have tried to run it in administtrator mode too

Please post your Dxdiag. To open this program type dxdiag in the Windows Vista start menu search. You should get a window telling your system specs. Wait for it to load, then hit Save All Information button and save as .txt file to your desktop. Then upload it to somewhere, I recommend Filedropper.

Does anyone know why I can run dxdiag in 32bit and 64bit? As a 64bit system I think windows should have only 64bit dxdiag.
