Someone gives you a badge, which you get to keep for a while and promises shinnyer badges the better you get and the more you participate.  You start working hard and get shinnyer and shinnyer ribbons and badges.

Then one day the same people come by and say, "Sorry, we don't like you." and take away everything you worked on with no reason givin other then "Because I a Dev and I can and I dont like you.".   A week or so later a awards cerimony is given giving large trophys to people who you would have surpased.

How do you feel?

Or, more simply, if the people who gave you first/second/third place awards in your life time came back and took em all away, for no reason.   People put trophys up on walls for a reason, they show that you actualy did something, that you acomplished something or that your good at something.   To have them all taken away is a hard Shoryuken to the jaw.

It's not that he cares about his stats guys, it's just that he has no other real validation in whatever sad little life he leads.  His actions suggest that he cannot accomplish anything of value on his own, and so he has to turn to petty spite and criticism to try and hurt the work of others.  By trying shout enough to change FS' to his liking - regardless of how much it would actually damage the game or the community - he can get some sad little kick and pretend that he accomplished something, that in some way he was important and that he proved us wrong.

Of course this isn't the first time we've seen someone like this throughout the years and projects, and why I personally have taken to keeping a zero tolerance policy for it.  If you want to feel like you've accomplished something in your life then go do something worthwhile.  But don't come and start trying to bring people or their work down just to make yourself feel bigger.  It's just sad and I'm not interested in the fact that because you can't accomplish anything in your life doesn't mean we are interested in fluffing your ego at a cost of our own work.

Remember, you're a visitor here.  You're here by priviledge, not right.  There's no requirement that we listen to whatever opinion you have, no requirement that we like you, no requirement that we treat you like an equal in any way.  If you are deemed naughty in any way and throw tantrums like a child then we are well within our rights to spank you like a child.  By continuing to cry and whine you only further justify our actions.  If you truly wanted your stats back, and not just attention and self-validation, then you would have stepped up and tried to make peace with the devs here. 

And remember, these are the devs who have provided this entire work, several years worth of effort and strain (which we have guestimated to surpass $400k in labour costs if this was a real production game) all for free for the people.  They, and this work, deserve far more respect than you ever showed it, which is what caused the problem to begin with.  Funny that you argue that we've taken something away when your continued actions seem singly determined to take away the enjoyment of the game and this community from both the devs and players; with no right to do so other than that you wanted attention or to feel as if you had done something.

So like I said before, you're here only by priviledge, not right.  And if you don't like these rules then go make your own mod, and ban us from playing it.  Prove that you're actually worthy enough to be treated with the respect you think we are supposed to give you.  Or at least show that you're decent enough to admit your actions and apologise, and perhaps we'll be more happy to listen to your concerns.  But if you just desire to continue sitting here crying and whining it will only validate the belief that you don't warrant such respect or that you are truly interested in anything but yourself. 

So.  Are you adult enough (I want to say "man enough" but that'd just be sexist :S ) to apologise-at which point we'll be happy to make amends as best we can?  Or do you just want to keep throwing tantrums and arguing with us here on the forums in what only looks like a desperate bid for attention and self-validation?  It's your call.  And if you don't like either of those choices then the only last one you have is to go make your own mod to "prove" to everyone how you can build a better game and run a better community.

By "may not" he means "probably are not"   Consider my comments that of my own personal beliefs on the matter and not those of the dev team in general.  And for all other fans out there, we're more than happy to listen to any thoughts and constructive criticism you have, and we are constantly trying to make this game as good as we can for all of you.  This person, I feel, only really wants to create unrest because it puts him in the limelight.  It has nothing to do with what we have done to him or what he may have said about FS.  He's just using all of that as an excuse to get attention and make people feel worse.
