Re: Best holiday location

Depends on the budget you have really.

I've been to quite a few countries. Italy is beautiful, yet quite expensive. Jamaica just plain rocks, tho not really a place to take family, in my opinion.

When I was 18 I went to Palma Nova(Majorca) with my ex GF, overall it was the best holiday Iv ever had.... tho probably more down to the company I had wink wink .  Its actually a decent place, or atleast was when I went, in that its kind of split into 2 parts. There's a more chilled out place (Palma Nova) and ,right next to it, Magaluf - a place with lotsa slappers tongue . To anyone else it may actually be a crap-hole - like Kavos or Faliraki (2 places I will never go back to , ugh) - but to me , at the time, it was fookin excellent (quite literally tongue )

Places I want to go to are Holland, America( *wants to go to Roswell smile ) , Bermuda, Egypt (Pyramids!). I also want to return to Turkey (when it chills out abit)

Re: Best holiday location

Hmm nice suggestions!

I won't be going to lloret de mar, I've been there when I was 16&17 it was awesome tough ! =P But these days I'd prefer to party 3 times a week or something, I'd like to go relaxing a bit smile However if there are any party animals among you all, you can also go to Callella it's in Spain aswell and not to forget the last two year famous Chasonisos in Greece.

Yeah I was thinking on going to the states this year but I've been there last year and flight prices are quite expensive indeed but  you never know big_smile

What I might gonna do is to learn how to surf smile More thinking about Portugal, Gran Canaria or Tenerife. But if that won't happen I think Mallorca is a nice option smile

For the people who happen to have alot of money, consider going to Bali in Indonesia ! big_smile
However if you are in your middle teens so 16-18 you really have to consider Spain; Callella, Llorette or Greece; Chasonisos smile

Re: Best holiday location

If you're old and boring like me then you could do what I'm doing: build a boat.  Rediculously simple and only takes a few power tools (namely a circular saw and a sander at a bare minimum, though a power drill, chopsaw, and/or jigsaw help a lot).  If you go quick and fast on the design then it only takes a few days, leaving plenty for sailing and camping with it.  Assuming you have lakes and/or canals where you live.

Failing that, you can consider America but I'd be nervous about it.  I personally don't want to be here now and I live here.  I suppose California would be your best destination though.  Everything, from nightlife to beaches to those big amusement parks.  Though personally-again because I'm old and boring-I'd prefer Washington DC.  So many monuments and good museums to see there.

I have been avoiding mexico for years now because of a certain brain-eating amoeba that lives in the water down there.  Get it up your nose and 2 weeks later your brain is oozing out of your ears.  Of course now that I've started on my boat I've discovered that the same thing lives in all the lakes near my house, and probably in my tapwater...

Re: Best holiday location

Belize.

Great little county on the east side of central america. Very, well 'free' cheap, except for airfare of course. Euros would go a long way there... The country is filled with easy going people. A vaction there can be whatever you choose really, an adventure or a relaxing beach thing... OR both... lots of great things to see, Mayan stuff, beaches, jungle, caves, waterfalls, islands off the coast for swimming with fishies and stuff...

Really great place. Very different from anywhere in Europe, that's for sure. One thing though is the country is kind of... well primitive in some aspects. Lots of dirt roads, and bugs. But the wildlife is cool, you can see frogs and little critters running around everwhere at night.
