Topic: First Strike XFire Skin and First Strike on XFire, Cont.

Here is a FirstStrike XFire skin I actually started close to a year ago and decided to finish today.  It has full functionality right now, except it's an INI skin.  I plan to convert it over to XML in the future to create In Game Chat 2.0 support.

Please try it out if you'd like and let me know if you find any problems with it. As far as I know, though, it should be fully functional.

If you are on XP, you will need to place the zip file you download within C:/Program Files/XFire/Skins/ (if you installed to default path).

If you are on Vista, you will need to place the zip file you download within C:/Program Data/Xfire/Skins/

Also, lets not give up on getting XFire support for FirstStrike.  As of today, we have played over 16220 hours and have approximately 6500 players since the last stat reset.  PCGamer has said we have "enough style and general awesomness to be an official game".  This should be more than enough to convince XFire to support us.  (It's very easy for them to do, let me know if you want some custom code to add support for yourself.)

Nice! So let me get this strait...At the moment, it doesn't have the same support for all the features as like, the default XFire skin?

umm itlooks cool but i can't get it -no idea how to get to programs so i copyied and pasted the destination and nothing matched

but it look sweet

Way to go Imp it looks great..I just installed it!. You should put another link in the downloads section it is a great skin.

Right click on the download here link and save it to your desktop.  Then, copy the zip file from your desktop to C:/Program Files/XFire/Skins/ (or C:/Program Data/XFire/Skins/ if you're on vista).  Restart XFire or switch skins and it should now be in your skins list.  That's it, don't even need to unzip smile

Correct.. it doesn't have some of the new features since they switched from INI to XML.  It has all the necessary features to work though (In Game, Group Chat, Chat, etc.)

it's C:\ProgramData\Xfire\skins not Program Data
