Topic: Several Issues

These are several issues I've been having the past couple of days that I have not seen answered here.  (If they were my mistake, I looked through 2 pages of this forum section and did not find any, but it does not mean I might not have overlooked something.)

1.) On some servers I have noticed that all my weapons except the default ones are gone, yet other people are using them.  Only once did I have 1 unlocked weapon (The Rebel Medic's Rifle) and not had any other weapons show up.  I have tried relogging, using different character, and reinstalling the mod, but none seem to work.

2.) Just recently, the server has been kicking me out 1 minute into a game.  Something regarding punkbuster but it does not give me enough time to read what it says.

Anyways, 2142 had become dull until I found this mod and I'd hate to drop it just because of some silly bugs.  Any help is appreciated.

The first issue is a serverside problem, The server hasn't turned off unlocks as such to use the guns you have to have unlocked them in vanilla 2142.

The second issue may be caused by your ping some servers kick people if their ping is higher than a certain level.

could be a freaky issue that goes away on its own, after you fix the PB issue.
To fix your PB issue, goto evenbalance.com, read the procedure for manually updating punkbuster for 2142.
Its pretty elementary if you can read, and almost always works .
If you have further PB issues after you do this, post here, and I will have more time to explain the esierst methods of solving your PB problem. Im on such a short leash tonite , I will be running to my motorcycle to leave as soon as I type this...

Well, I tried both a 200 ping server and a 50 ping server and they both kicked me out.  As for the weapon unlocks, I only got the medic rifle once and never again.  Anyways, I uninstalled everything and re-updating 2142 again to see if that works.

Nothing.

Re-installed everything, went to your link, updated PB, and it still kicks me out.

Are you behind a harsh and unforgiving peice-o-crap firewall like norton security ?
Or even zonealarm ( a good one ) with setting that are too high ?
asses you security software and try to eliminate that variable as PB needs to have a port open for the updates.
This has caused many gaming problems with PB.
vista also creates about 50 more variables to deal with than earlier OS, and naturally will require more work. Check vista security settings to see if its preventing the PB update.

Did you manually place the  file into the PB direc tory in your 2142 game?
If not you havent done the manual update yet.
Do it.
reboot is mandatory after dropping the file.
Heres the procedure ( including the goods ) for the most current manual update.
