Topic: 1.3 wrong version error

Any help would be appreciated !

4 of us have loaded the 1.25 to 1.3 patch  and now we all have the same error
" wrong version error "  when trying to connect to any server.

I have uninstalled the mod  , rebooted, reinstalled 1.2   , patched to 1.3  same result  "  wrong version error"  any suggestions?


also a 1.3 full patch  could be of great help  since I see alot of people having to reinstall because of the errors

are you sure your vanilla 2142 is installed to the latest version?

Yes   we are patched  to 1.5     the 1.2 FS  and 1.25 FS   worked great for us!    all our issues started with the 1.3 update!

There are a number of instances where downloads are corrupt.
Have you tried a different source yet?

I have re-downloaded everything     the fs mod 1.2   and the upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3  from fileplanet

all to the  result.....  modified content error now!

have you deleted your registry keys during the uninstall  , before reinstall ?
I have to type this all the time, I should save a copy somehwhere.
Upon uninstalling , you must delete the resident directory ( folder)  after a formal uninstall , and sometimes go as far as deleting the registry keys for 2142 and FS , before fresh reinstall.
this is sometimes required for just 2142, without FS.
Test 2142 1.5 to make very sure its working fine before taking the step of FS install.
If you dont know how to do the registry operation I will send you the procedure.

This is definitely the gamers bermuda-triangle as far as strange unexplainable phenomena.
but the effort is well worth it, ask others who didnt committ suicide before getting FS to work ...
