Topic: Unable to update !

Ive downloaded fs full client installer v1.2 which installed fine, but i cant seem to update it. I installed v1.25 but when i start the game its still v1.2. I also tried to update using the the patch which updates from v1.2-1.3 and the game didnt recognise this either. I tried it another couple of times and the installer says that v1.3 is already installed.
Ive spent the best part of a day trying to get this mod working, so if anybody knows whats wrong please help me.

1st of all , as always , ...
does the game run fine using 2142 1.5? ( if you can play wake island online)
verify this, and we can take next steps.
Also need your OS type, 32 / 64 bits version.
have you read the other threads regarding these problems?
If not, it would really help you, as the basic pattern of troubleshooting the game is only repeated.

The actual game 2142 works fine. My os is windows vista. I have checked other similar problems reported in other posts but they seem to be problems with crashing while installing. My problem is not crashing, it says it has installed when finished but the game still says its v1.2.

It does?  I actually have a similar problem.  All the servers running 1.3 have a red icon beside them, but I can connect to them.  The ones with 1.2 are green, and I can't connect to those.  I figured it was just a problem at my side, Guess I was wrong.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

I have a few servers on the screen. All but two are empty and they only have 2-3 players. Is this normal or are they old v1.2 servers ?

At the time of your post it's fairly normal. Things should get busier through the afternoon and evening (European time).

Join one of the occupied servers. The low numbers will give you a chance to check out the map, and your presence will encourage others to join.
