Re: Revamp existing maps

wow I was just writing more focused on adding crates, boxes, consoles, chairs, map boards and other common "interior" items to some of the structures to help fill up rooms and not make them look so vacant and shallow. I wasn't going into the pagodas on a mideast map or ill fitting statics on a map. How about clusters of appropriate colored or snow covered rocks on Rhen Varr and Ryloth. More snow covered or textured statics (I covered this a while ago) on Rhen Varr, every nonvertical surface would probably have snow on it. Junk, trash, adandoned equipment, check points, relay stations add to the atmosphere too. I just think the envirnoments if they've had personnel on them for more than 2 days wouldn't be very sterile. Hell even mass graves, frozen corpses or grave markers would be sweet.

*Flinch.

I agree that more clutter would be nice in some areas- particularly inside the houses and dwelling areas. Problem is that tables and stuff would end up impeding combat somewhat.. It would have to be done right.

I'd like to see discarded weapons on racks and that sort of jazz. The rebel posters on Ryloth are such a nice touch- theres a lot of scope for that kind of thing. Imperials don't do clutter though. I was a little surprised to see the boxes/ crates on Endor were not lined exactly parallel with the face of the outpost  smile

Oooh, right, now I get you. You want the maps to look less barren, so that for example the incredible bare Imperial Outpost on EST is 'furnitured' like the one overlooking Bestine.

What about this, then wink ?

I'd love for the buildings in Mos Espa with interiors to be at least partly furnitured. It can impossibly increase lag that much.

Oh, and I hate to tell you this, but those screenies aren't from an official map.

Re: Revamp existing maps

Most Buildings in BF2 and BF 2142 are too empty, they look like no one has ever lived in them.

PoE has some nice statics like a fishing rod or playyards, adding much more immersion...

Safe Keeper examples are great, I hope it is possible to add some funiture into the Buildings without too much lag.
Some blankets for the rooms on Tatooine would be nice... or small grafittis on the walls in the more broken parts of the neighbourhood wink
