Re: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

A nice idea, but a divided world is a world full of people who will inherently try to make others follow there beliefs and customs. Therefore leading to war.

When your borders disappear and your traditions and customs dilluted and washed away, you have lost your identity. When races blend together and identity is lost, it will be a boring world indeed.
I dont care to live in an Orwellian police state ... the zeitgeist.

Thats all.

I don't believe in "national identity" or "national customs" etc , because I believe in the individual and neither do I believe in borders - a land of freedom with borders doesn't make any sense - , I don't believe in Government either, but in this period of time too many people believe they need Government and have/want this so-called "national pride" , so give me a choice between sovereign nations or a World Government and Id go with nations every time. It is an impossibility for a whole planet to be Governed, especially seeing how most people in the world ditch self responsibility for the cradling arm of a nanny-state, by a central Government - it doesn't even work on a nation to nation basis.

Getting back to the topic of the economy, there are a few economist's that you should listen to, but the main guy  who has been correct about everything that has happened and who has been warning about this crisis -and a much bigger one to follow- for years, is Peter Schiff.

Search his name on Youtube and pay particular attention to his TV appearances from a couple of years ago, especially his battles with some guy called Norman and others.

He does a radio show every week, this one being the latest show (1st of a 6 part video)

Also, look up the following:

- Austrian Economics

- Ludvig Von Mises
- Murray Rothbard
- Milton Friedman
- Ron Paul

They know what they are talking about.

Another thing alot of people need to look up is "Liberty" (as funny as it sounds), because pointing a gun at my head and taking the fruits of my labour is not Liberty in any way, shape or form. The Soviet Union died for a reason, I dont know why Europe, and even the US now, continues to try and head that way again - "but, but ,but with the right leader!!!" .... hamster furballs.

On a side note, here's a funny little tale:

Re: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

Liberty is pretty dead thats for sure. We plan on getting it back.
Some of your statements contradict each other Bandu. lol
Our federal government has become a cumbersome theif for exactly the reasons you say.
Thats why the US , in its much better days, was a collection of self governing states - hence the "united states".  Centralize power and it gets evil.
The NWO is exactly that, a central world power.
Only sheeple want that.

Dude, thats inevitable.  The human species will never "just get along"
That would be called Utopia.  LOL

Aint happening

Better to have borders to isolate the trouble, than to have no borders and spread it around the globe.

I dont see any contradictions.

The Government has become a bloated thief moreso because of "national pride" than it has because of Individualism. "National Pride" gets you suckered into allowing wars to begin, which helps centralize power.
Also, the US Revolution wasn't fought out of some mythical "national Pride".

Re: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

Very true ...
and yes, national pride has its negatives, as uneducated hillbillies have been known to get extreme and racist and all sorts of mailigned behaviors.
But as with almost everything, national pride has its great side. Pride is never a bad thing, until its used wrong.
The opposite of pride is what ?
Shame is ALWAYS a bad thing no ,matter how its packaged.

This gets to be a paradox if one expects absolutes. There are no absolutes in nature.

In that example , lets say Butter.
It tastes great, improves food quality and flavor.
It also makes you fatter, and might cause cancer , lol.

Or lets say Soccer ( futbol )  Fun to watch , fun to play , fun all around and great for fitness..
but people fight over it , people get hurt playing it , it can be somewhat dangerous without helmets.

Theres no absolutes.

I will take my buttered bread and enjoy a dangerous non-helmeted game of soccer anyday!

I remember when here in Texas they instituted a helmet law for motocycling, and ruined a nice helmetless ride with a girl on a sunny day wearing my oakley sunglasses, while looking cool.
But it saved lives, kept bugs off my face and out of my teeth.

The object lies in do you want rules restricting you from harm resulting in loss of freedoms.
It a patchy subject that is very uneven.

About the Revolution in 1776, we were basicly criminals trying to steal the colonies from the nation that spent the efforts to build them in the 1st place. ( but with good intentions )
If thats not a paradox, i dont know what is !  lol tongue

So in this spirit ... with no absolutes , it is clear that mankind will never find peace pr stability until everyones locked away in prison and supported by an all powerfull gov. ( another damn paradox )
hehe

you a good guy Bandu ... and I do wish Ron Paul victory

Re: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

I love how you say new WORLD order. Fair enough with new AMERICAN order but I am perfectly happy with my government in terms of freedon, liberty etc. As is most everyone here. Also, Even if you do gain any form of power (and I stress IF) You will only become what you saught to destroy, like anyone else would. Humans are inherently corrupt, so you might aswell leave things be.
