Re: The Resurgance of the FS Community Game

The key to preventing lag on Yavin is the server's processor.  Upgrade this and you will experience a lot less.

Seriously, how is our server set-up 'hurting' the mod?

Re: The Resurgance of the FS Community Game

Well when your server fills, which I am under the impression that it does often? Players don't want to start another server on their own when they see a full one that they are missing out on, and then they leave if they cannot join soon after.

Agreed.

Oh no, you can't blame RT for players not wanting to start other servers!

It's a load of old rubbish anyway. Tonight there has been a maximum of 8 players on RT and (when I looked) 14 on DS. That's a clear choice of two servers to join, yet the community stayed away in droves...

It's been the same for a couple of weeks now. I don't know exactly why FS isn't a popular as it deserves to be, but it isn't. Coming up with spurious, illogical reasons to blame RT for that situation isn't going to help matters.

Re: The Resurgance of the FS Community Game

It does make me smile this thread.

I was under the impression choice is not a bad thing. We never have had complaints like this before. So I get the impression we need to spend some money to upgrade our server or pull it, so other servers can fill up.

The fact that most of our clanmembers keep the server rolling and active kills the mod.

How about we have three of our members each go on a different server and try and get those started? As soon as they have we'll play on our own. We'll even play with pistols only not to scare people away. We'll falll on mines cunnily placed in the middle of the road and try and toss back grenades.

Come on get this community game going and hopefully we'll have a abundance of people to play with. I would suggest setting your communications people to work.

Thank you and good night.
