Topic: New semi-game mode for slow server days: Bounty Hunters

Alliance Intel has received a distress call from their operative near Mos Espa. He suspects bounty hunters are on his tail...

This is a 'semi-game mode' kind of mini-game for use on 32 or 64 player Mos Espa on slow server days. It's inspired by the incredibly fun board game Scotland Yard and is meant to be played with about 5 people on the server.

1. Setup and 'Grace Period'
- Everyone go Imp, except one player, who is to be hunted. If auto-balance is on, just designate a target and have everyone else hunt him.
- Both sides choose classes at will, including Officer.
- Give the target a one minute 'grace period' in which he can hide. Imps have to stay outside of city or at least at the city edge during this period.

2. The Hunt
- Once the 'grace period' is up, the hunt is on. The player is hunted until he is killed.
- As a single player is hard to find in 32p Mos Espa, he has to tell the Imperials as honestly and accurately as possible where he is every minute.

3. Last Stand
If the target survives for 10 minutes after the game is on, he is to report his position as usual and then halt. From this point on, he may not leave his immediate vicinity. If he is in Watto's Junkyard, he has to stay there until killed. If he is in a house, he has to remain inside. If he is atop a docking bay ring, he has to stay there or inside the docking bay. If he is on the street, he has to get to the closest backyard or house or other suitable hiding place. You get the idea.

Victory
If the target survives for 14 minutes after the grace period ends, he wins. Either way, the target role is handed off to another player and restarted.

Additional Rules
- When Imperials die, they may respawn.
- Imperials may use vehicles except the AT-ST. The target may not.
- Imperials may take CP's, but remember that every second doing so is a second in which you're not hunting your prey. SL spawning is probably preferable.

Or in short, everyone but one player go Imperial and hunt the one player, who is to report his position every two minutes. If he survives for 10 minutes, he has to hole up and fight to the death. If he survives for 14 minutes, he wins.

Sounds great! But one question. Are you suggesting this to be an implemented game mode or just a fun pass time that players can set up themselves?

We're not making this an actual gamemode, no (though, hey, you never know). I realize the subject header was a bit misleading, sorry for that.
