Topic: Community Game 22nd November

Again, we will be taking rotation suggestions for this weeks community game, I will also update this post with the links to this weeks BR times once I upload them, instead of posting halfway through the threads like I have in the past.

Anyway, the only thing we would like this week is for Espa to be somewhere in the "busy" spots so we can get a 64player game going.  There were some complaints about Slave Quarter Massacres last game, so we are willing to put up with speeder bikes in order to stop that, but we need it in the busy spots for it to play out properly, otherwise it will still be 32p.

Other than that, feel free.  As before, the best suggestion will be used or slightly modified and shoved in the server.  Map Sizes will change varying on player counts.

As always, feel free to join us on Ventrilo for playing, we always have good laughs there.  Server details are;
IP: 85.236.100.69
Port: 28384

Re: Community Game 22nd November

You are bound to have heard this from others by now, but just to make 100% sure, give us 64p Mos Espa. Last CG reached, from memory, 34 people when Mos Espa was played, which proved to be too many for the map, turning the Slave Quarters into a meat grinder. At least it seems the general consensus was that it was the large number of players doing it.

Either way, 30+ players is more than enough for a 64 p map. That's two teams of 15+ people each, or 7 people guarding each CP (Junkyard and Slave Quarters) and 7 people attacking each. It'll work just fine.

The slave quarter massacre wasn't to bad.  The first round we took it eventually, yeah, it took alot of teamwork but we got it.  We used that same teamwork in defending the next round.

NO to 64 player Bestine. The map layouts fine its just...other factors taht would cause me to have to physically send myself down the internetz to peoples houses and slaughter them with barehands for fighting about a certain something.

As for busy spots, the server was busy enough to cope with most big map sizes, within reason. Space maps should be left on 32 unless we get over 40 people on. Since some players either leave or sit them out, it's pointless making them too big. Oh, and can we kick those players that start tk'ing on space 'because they dont like flying maps'.

agreed on space maps. 32 is big enough unless we get a huge amount of players
