Topic: Super Crashing(a whole new level of crashing >.<)

last night i downloaded and installed the 1.3 full. and it crashed that night.

today i play it. and after about 3 tries ai join a server and have a good 4 rounds without crashing, then when i loaded yavin assault, BAM! it crashes. i tried 3 times to join again and nothing. eventually i had to restart my computer because it crashed AND it froze! :S


any help AT ALL would and will be appreciated.

Are you getting graphical glitches?

yes i tended to get texture glitches with the unit skins

Yavin causes Graphics errors and sometimes completely crashes your game IF you have an nVidia Graphics Card, AND Windows Vista.  This is because nVidia have provided very shabby drivers for Windows Vista, which make the game cause errors because of the size of Yavin. There are fixes, not as good as having a working version, but check this thread for it.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

I have tried the fixes listed and they dont seem to work (at all) mainly because in the target box of the properties panal it always says (incorrect path specified) with bewilders me because i followed the instructions to THAT point.

Hmm, I suggest you try getting live help from the dev's.  Hit the "FS IRC" button up the top.

make sure you run it as administrator as well.
