Yea, especially because its the same damn type of shift. (While there are thousands of different craft in the SW universe)
That, and the fact that there's no 'crashed CRV' model, so the 'wreck' is completely intact except someone's run off with all her gun turrets while the crew was knocked out.
But even with a new crashed ship in every map and beautiful crash models, it'd still be silly. Playing FS, one might be led into thinking that Alliance doctrine reads something like
"VIII, Planetary Invasion (p. 182, excerpt): Surface installations are best dealt with by a single CR90 or, if none are available, a Gallofree FG, charging nose-first into the planet's AAA. After the inevitable crash the few, battered survivors (hereafter referred to as 'the marines') will fight the most critical of the fires, tend to those too wounded to fight (these should amount to no more than 56%), bury the dead (these should amount to no more than a further 28%), reorganize those able to fight into new units, assert what war machinery and munitions survived impact, and finally deploy said war machinery white distributing munitions to combat units*. The marines will then annihilate everything within a radius of 2 clicks.
Note: Untrained cap ship crewmen are usually your best bet for dealing with large Imperial garrisons and invasion forces (see Lok, Mos Entha), but the battle of Bestine demonstrated that actual combat-trained, uniform-wearing infantry bailing from intact craft might perform better. Who knew. Mon Mothma has suggested, in the face of heavy protests, that we may try this on Null.
*Footnote: Imperial forces play fair, and will totally hold back at their bases and permit you time (3-12 standard hours) to do all this. In fact, when you're done deploying, you'll find they've been sitting patiently back at their garrison the whole time, not securing a single tactically important position between you and them with as much as a single fireteam, and are waiting for your signal that you're ready to fight.".
The Rebels should've crashed the shuttle Tyderium into the forests of Endor. The Imperial legion would've been crushed
.
Wonder what the mystery vehicle is?
If you rendezvous with it at Warp 10 carrying 5000 kt of minerals, you get a gift!
"One of the bitches actually gave birth while she was attacking, and her puppies joined in on the carnage."
