Re: 1.4 Screenshots and After-Action Reports go here!

I'd like to go first.

Two VERY highly teamwork-motiviated teams were playing on 64p Null.  The Rebels had pushed Imperials back to the checkpoint halfway up the mountain, and were managing to advance slowly through the mines while gunners where jumping out of their tanks to repair.  Imperials managed to make a stand and stop the Rebels advancing, and shots were being fired constatly, both from the front tanks and the Artilery Freerunner behind them.  Imperials were holding off with constatly firing rockets and using their Firehawkes to stop the enemy advancing.

A small Rebel strike Team advanced up the tower while we were fighting off, they went into the Imperial Base grabbed 2 AT-ST's and came up from behind us.  Our only warning was the strike forces leader (Kampfemu) saying "Suprise" in all chat and then us getting blasted to smitherines.  The fanking attack broke our forces, allowing the Rebels too advance further, and they managed to get the CP down to a neutral status before fighting them off, and destroying everything bar their freerunner.

After a few more minutes fighting, Imperials destroyed the freerunner, mopped up the last of the rebels and started rebuilding our defences, and we brought in a few AT-ST's our of our base to stop the same thing happening again.  We were again at a standoff between both sides when, unfortunately, the server decided it was going to reset itself and we were all disconnected :'(

Aye that sucked as that was a really good round, very well hard fought on all sides, and you did a good job of staying alive as our squadleader so we could spawn in on you despite the fact that the CP was neutral. Excellent work, certainly kept them on their toes.

There have been some really cool scraps on Null. There was another where as Rebels we had managed to seize the Tank Garage, had one of our tanks in there holding the position while troops raided the stairwell. Which is where the pain commenced. Unfortunately it was just too little too late and the tickets were against us, but things really started getting interesting once I lead a few guys up the second stairwell which was for the most part undefended, only once I made it into the Control Room it did all go wrong (usually catching them by surprise, but being woefully out numbered), but we came so close so many times. Our squadleader soon realised that our tank really had the Tank Garage adequately covered and that he could deploy more men on my little side mission, and the last time we got up there I had sufficent back up for a change, the grenades and smoke got lobbed in, we moved in for the kill and then the round ended when we reached zero tickets.

Denied!!

So close, looking foward to having that scrap again soon. Hope I haven't reveiled the second stairwell route up to the Control Room to too many people though.

wink

And then there was one particularly fun moment on Lok (well for me anyway wink) where I found some enemy Stormtroopers camping within the caves just below one of the two central CPs on that map, they had their shields deployed and were in a corner behind a console where they could take the CP by being within the capture radius, or at least stop our guys up top from capping it. So I managed to get in there and lobbed a couple of grenades over their shields ( the vital flaw in their dastardly plan wink), they then bounced on the cave wall behind them into the shielded area where the shield almost concentrated the blast back onto them. The multiple explosions tossed the 3 man fireteam's corpses around that corner of the cave like little white armoured pinballs, priceless.

cool

You forgot to say exactly how many tries it took for you (or your team) to finally get that grenade to us tongue, we held out there for a long time, and only after the 3rd/4th attack on us did someone finally spawn as a medic.

Had a good time on refinery earlier aswell.  Imps were down to their last 2 CP's, we were really struggling to get to the rebels... I decide to try take the lambda in. As I'm flying towards their last CP, I come in from the "Ocean" side.  I come in full speed, shove the wings up at last moment and land on the same level that the CP building is, where there is literally JUST and no more room for the lambda to fit, everyone jumps out, we scramble into the CP building pick of the few stormies that are there and cap the CP just as the lambda gets hit by a tank shot and falls off the side tongue.

Or, just before release.  Gurd and I were playing around on the tester server on lok, havinga sniper battle.  Time and time again, I would get into a position, wait for him to stop moving then smack him one in the head.  At one point, I moved into a position and was sitting waiting for about 5 minutes, waiting for Gurd to pop out.  It turns out he had snuck behind me and came up and knived me right in the back.  I got him back a few times after though, when I went up behind him and started doing the same tactic as I was before, until he finally caught me and killed me with his pitol :(z
