Topic: Small maps that can be used when noone is on

Hey guys,

I frequently play but seem to run into problems because the maps(even though a lot of them are awesome) are big for under 16 players. The majority of the time there are not very many players. I suggest 1 or 2 maps to run on the servers that can be used to build up a population. I think with a few smaller maps people will stay longer and bigger games will happen more frequently. A few ideas are.

Starfighters in open space(Xwings vs Ties but on a smaller map)

Destroy or disable the corvette(either side could attack a single corvette or lambda with maybe an escort fighter or 2)

Some sort of base like the Null sensor station but with only the facility and not the rest of the points.

I think some small maps would be way more fun than looking for people for 20 min or being destroyed by 2 guys in tanks or walkers while you have nothing. If you could get one server to do this I think that more people would play more frequently and then they could just map vote when there are enough players.

Thanks and great job the mod looks and plays great.

I've thought of this myself - small 'skirmish' maps intended to be played with four to eight people. They'd be nice to have in the beginning of server rotations, and would be great to fall back to when server population starts dwindling.

Then again, GC did this, too, and I feel that if we did the same thing it'd be kind of a rip-off.

I've thought of this too, and while GC may have done it (those were some fun maps), i don't really see a problem with us doing it as well.
