Topic: RSF Server feedback pls

We're running a 16 player map server that has every map.

The rounds are set to 50, so the effect should be like playing a 24/7 Mos Espa or 24/7 Lok wastelands server,  with map vote on so the map can be changed when the players are ready for a change of scenery.

Its designed for off peak play- somewhere to go when there aren't many people on and a small map will result in a better game.

Tk punish is off, PB is off atm, ff mines is off. FF is at 80% damage to inf and vehicles.

I'd appreciate feedback on:

Maps to remove
the 50 round/voting system
pb being off (I know it won't be FSranked without it)
ff
the general play experience.

I'd also really appreciate it if someone can gimme a link to the post where server admins are shown the recommended settings and the settings required for weapon unlocks.

-PB off probably is going to lose you players, I tend to leave the PB filter on, so your server won't even show up for me.

-FF at 80% I have no fuss with, I don't mind playing at any FF settings.

I like the idea of the 50 round voting thing, though with that setting I would definitely remove Yavin, and Taloraan too... People may want to play those, but people hardly ever want to START those maps. So if your server were to empty on one of those maps, tough getting people back in I would think.

For personal preference I would also remove Ryloth, I just never liked its 16p setup.

Good idea ANgel i'll come on when its quiet and check it out.I dont think ive ever looked at Ryloth 16p come to think of it ive havent seen a lot of the 16p maps should be different:)

I may change that soon then. Off prevents people from being kicked for no reason tho.

Good point. But if I remove them, they can't play em.
Is there a way to allow the server to be changed by a single vote like the test server?
Or a way to make the server reset if no-ones there?

Its just there for choice.

Incidentally, every map of ever size is also in the list, but they're not accessible thru votes for some reason. We can force switch the map thru 2142cc, enabling a 32 or 64 player map if we fancy variety, or if Ace wants an air speeder fix.

Danfun and I were messing around with ziplines on EST. Those rebels sure have a lot of space in their backpacks.
I'll remove em if you wish, for the good of the mod, though personally I think they're a lot of fun, if flawed.
