I just bought Video Copilot's Pro Scores, at $95 it's a steal, and man, wow if you guys can put that kind of music into your promos, they would take off!
In fairness, that video was made in a very short time. Something like 2 or 3 days, we needed a "dramatic" song, and needed it fast. That was what we got.
A few of us in the testing/dev team have been looking around for people to possibly think about getting to do some more music for us, like the old guy we had who did all the FS Loading screen music. However, with this thing I am very interested in getting some of this stuff done myself. I wanted applied for the music team a while back, but lacked the skills/software to really help out. this program changes matters.
Well Pro Scores isn't a program mind you. It's a whole directory of cut, digitally produced, extremely high quality music scores. And all the pieces come also as divided tracks of the music where you can get the percussion on separate tracks.
I did the download version of this. I've been buying VideoCopilot stuff for a number of years now.
You can't beat it.
Kramer just blows everyone away with his gift of generosity in keeping tutorials free and offering affordable packages that even exceed some other corporate media.
Just take a look at VC's blog - you'll find guys there that are game developers as well as video effects experts, just dying for VC's next tutorial.
I've been a fan of Kramer since he was at Creative Cow - another place I hang all the time.
One thing I learned from Andrew on music - make the music fit with the theme of your game or promotional video.
I'd advise the developers at FS to get onboard at VideoCopilot, because you guys are making, perhaps the best mod for Battlefield that I've ever seen, and it's worthwhile mod and you deserve the best of the best - and my advise is to keep up to date with VideoCopilot.
Happy New Year to you guys! Love what you do! keep it up!
