Re: FS launcher doesn't seem to work

does other games or music work in the DVD drive? does windows show "2142" in "my computer" or does it just say its an empty drive? 
mine quit a a few weeks ago and had to use an old reader to play games that needed the Cd?

Any emulation software like Daemon Tools installed? If yes, just reinstall your windows.
In my case 2142 interfered with daemon tools, even uninstalling both didnt help. I spent 1 week on that issue without finding a fix.

Btw i have yet to find a NO-DVD cookie for v1.5, i dont think there is one.

Yes, ALL other games work on my dvd drive, even vanilla 2142 works

in my opinion the launcher doesn't try to authenticate the dvd, in comparison with vanilla 2142 which does. it takes over 30 seconds to launch vanilla 2142, fs says "insert install disc" after 3 seconds.

i have alcohol 52% with 2 virtual drives

you have alcohol currently installed? have you tried disabling or uninstalling it?

Emulation software ALWAYS affected my vanilla as well - so scratch that

i have uninstalled it and removed the virtual drives and the virtual scsi/raid drivers - the problem remains though

I htink it`s a problem with the delux version.
I have vista on my system and the mod doesn`t start, it say that there is a konflikt with an emulator, but i don`t have an emulator on my system.
I`ve got the same problem with BF2142 onely a new Exe from Securom fixed it, with the new Exe BF2142 started but FS1.4 don`t start looool.
I think its the same Problem with the Delux Version.
