Topic: Good map rotation

I am new to this mod and just started a server.
DAGL FirstStrike  72.232.246.166
Anyway, I need people's opinions on a good map rotation.  The big space maps tend to kill the server.  I would like to put about 7 to 10 of the most popular maps in the rotation.  Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't recall all the map names - but hopefully my descriptions will suffice...

1) Mos Espa - small footprint
2) Nok? - the green one with all the wind farms... cool bottleneck in the valley
3) Tok? - wasteland refinery/mines/quarry stuff all around - great vehicle map
4) Endor - small footprint

Those are my favs... so far.  Still looking forward to seeing Echo Base.

small footprint?? I dont remember seeing footprints.

Or do you mean 16 player size?

Nok = BANDOMEER REFINERY

Tok = LOK WASTELANDS

Endor = Clearing or Strike Team?

Tok could also be Ryloth. It's got red rock all around and the imperials' base is inside a huge bubble.

Lol... sorry, I'll let you guys (the pros) stick to making up the names...

Yeah, "Nok" is the Bandomeer Refinery, yes... "Tok" is the Lok Wastelands and the Endor map must be the "Strike Team" 'cause I think the Clearing has the water with all the piers and I'm not a big fan of that one.

Suggestion:   Oh, and perhaps I could recomend POSTING a listing of ALL the maps available in the 1.4 release with screen shots and maybe I wouldn't need to take a stab at making up the names of the maps you made up names for...  smile


Oh yes and the last thing... the map "footprint" refers to the size... regardless of number of slots (players) allowed on a server, you should still be able to play the smaller maps (designed for 16 person servers).

Seriously though, both Mos Espa and Mos Entha are favs of mine.

Bestine is a must.

And Ryloth has actually grown on me over time, but I'm not sure how many other people feel the same.

Some advice:  The Battle of Yavin map usually kills a server unless there are already a bunch of players online.  So I'd leave that one out of the rotation if you haven't done that already. 

BTW blackshirts, nice server!  It was good playing with you DAGL guys lastnight.  It's been a while since I've seen so many US players on a FS server at that time of night.  I hope it stays that way.  You said something about using battlerecorder, you still planning that?
