Yeah, I got rid of the shaders_client.zip file and renamed the bak file to zip and that worked.  Thanks!

ok i dont know if this is right section but i have bf2142 deluxe edition any way i cant get vanilla to luanch now im getting kicked from all servers saying revert back to org. version any suggestions

Yes, Its a launcher bug. What happens is for FS we have custom shaders, which is why we use the launcher. When you turn off FS it is supposed to revert it back. What might solve it is starting up FS with your launcher then exiting. It might work. If it doesn't I think there are more advance thing you can go through.

i totally got rid of first strike because this mod caused the problem... there is only one file noe.bak and i can't rename it and I can not get rid of it....i refuse to reinstall 2142 try that on for size...please help
