Topic: Game won't launch

So after a long absence I decided to come back and play the new First Strike, but sadly this whole launcher thing seems broken for me, every time i try to launch the game through the launcher the launcher closes itself and nothing happens, but it DOES say that the launcher is running still under task manager > processes. I'm running Vista 64bit and got BF2142 through EA Link, I'm using the latest patch (1.5) and have reinstalled + patched numerous time and even tried installing Northern Strike with it as well.

Any help would be appreciated, I really want to play this great mod again. smile

Sounds like you need to reconfigure vista in some manner...

That'd be my guess too, but I don't know what! I'd also like to point out that I have tried runnign as administrator as well, even though my permissions are already set to be admin..

UAC is also off.

Same problem happens to me and i'm running vista 64bits too. Maybe the operating system is the reason.... I tested compatibility modes and they crash too.
