Topic: Game will not Launch

Hey Folks,

Downloaded the most recent version of the game. I have BF2142 Deluxe which I downloaded from EA store directly. When I install the game, I fist choose my BF2142 folder to install the game. Then when its done I choose to install the launcher in another folder. That installs fine. Then when I goto launch the game its says "Game not installed" which I know it is. What am I doing wrong here?

Edit. Ok I finally got it to install. But now when I launch the game, it says "Client Using Unkown Version of BF2142" what does this mean? I have it fully patched. Its Bf2142 Deluxe which was a digital download from the EA store. Does First not work with direct downloads? What do I need to do to get the game to work? I'm on windows xp btw..

Have you patched BF2142 up to 1.5?  Open BF2142, go to your community tab and click "mods", tell us what version number is under "2142"/

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Hey thanks for the quick reply gwynzer :-) Ok version number under 2142 is 1.5 I can get the First Strike Launcher to open, but when you click launch that's when it says "BF2142 is an Unknown version" the only thing I can think of is its a digital download instead of a DVD etc..
