Topic: always geting redirected to desktop

Hi everyone i'm new AND i have a massive problem.

After i join a sever and it finshs loading
FS suddenly closes and i get redirected
to the desktop

I need urget help because i want to start playing
PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP

That sounds like your mod build is out of date.  Are you using the launcher? If so, go to file -> Preferences and tell us what "Version" number appears.  If not, download the latest version of First Strike with the launcher HERE

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

I can't find preferences but i found something called launcher version text file and it only says the number 15
I also found something called launcherlist text file where it said
5 = launcher0.0.6.5.zip
15 = publauncher0.0.8.0.zip

I also have downloaded the Version 1.4 Full Client Installer
Do I still to download the luncher?

No, that shows he has the launcher already if the launcher.zips are there.  To find your version number, click these icons in the launcher: http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/433/launcherud8.jpg

I also get crash to desktop, but only on certain maps.  It seems the newer maps crash.  I have all the current versions of the mod, build, launcher & bf2142.  Running through the launcher, I crash on deploy on lok wastlands, rhen var research labs & rhen var ice plains.  I haven't tested the other new maps, but the older maps run fine. Running XP home, P4 3.4ghz.
