Imp, Working on a fix he is.
Just to update, I dl'd and installed FS on my old P4 xp home comp, with no problems at all.
Even played for a few minutes.. but less than a gig of ram makes it hard to play.. guess that an old system has its uses, just not to play FS.

I guess modified content error is to easy a fix to pass up posting on.

Well, we feel there is little point telling you no progress has been made.  We've still not got a clue what causes the error.

However, as of about 2 minutes ago, Imperial (our coder) managed to successfully get a modified content error, so we have progress! They latest FS updates have replaced the shaders so try connecting to a working server (DSgaming is the only one I know of with the latest) and see if you get the mod.content.  If not, can you (after updating to 1007) go into your mods/first strike folder and tell us how many files are there? (Imp rekons this could be the problem, a certain file is missing with his modified content)

I got the mod content prob with the latest updates. Nothing I tried fixed it and in the end I had to do a complete reinstall of both FS AND 2142. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but at least you aint alone with the problem!
