Well COOP would be fine for a couple of reasons:

-Pratice against bots
-play on LAN-Partys
-Fill the server up until enough human players are there

Well when I first started playing first strike I was more excited to be playing than intimidated lol
But hey you get used to stuff and eventually figure things out, I mean I have come to dislike alot of new games because of their big WIN button, mostly because of the AI lacking.

also AI are just not as fun to kill lol
