Every CG has Escape from Hoth these days, doesn't it? The rotation changes pretty much every CG, so sometimes EfH won't have that many players.

Er, there are no separate shields for upper and lower parts, just the one source of shields for either side. And it doesn't deflect all damage, just most of it.

WTH. Even Gwynzer agreed with me so I thought I couldn't be wrong. I was completely puzzled by it though, how could he have thought it if it wasn't true? Should've checked. I've no idea how I managed to miss that, there were even 2 health bars but they go down with damage at the same rate right? The shields don't deflect all damage though, bombs take your HP down even if you have shields on.

No they don't, it depends where the bombs hit you, remember you have dorsal and ventral shields, so as long as you have the right one deployed for the area where they hit you should take no damage. The two shields lose power indepenently of one another it is based on how constantly you have each shield deployed how long it lasts.
