Topic: first strike 1.4 build 1005

WE currently have the most recent version of frist strike added onto uk warfare server. I play tested all the maps currently available, however 3 of the maps seen to cause an error.

Here's the situation:

escape from hoth

Map loads as normal but when the player loads up map and spawns into game it will kick said player of usually after 5-10 seconds

battle of yavin

same as above

endor strike team

when map is switched to this one the 2142cc log states that it is unable to query map or server is restarting.

You guys use Multiplay as a dedi hoster, aye?  Are you running it on a Dedicated Box hosted by them, or is it a normal BF2142 server rental with the First Strike mod chosen through profiles?  If its the latter, send in a support ticked and tell them to give me (Gwynzer) a buzz on IRC and I'll see what I can do about it, I'm in their support channel.

The latest build is 1008, I'm guessing you typoed ^^.  Escape from Hoth and Yavin aren't played very often, and although extremely fun with large playrcounts, not fun with just a few people (most the week bar the CG's).  Same goes for Endor Strike team, so you aren't really missing out.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Not really fussed about hoth, just the other 2 tbh. when they added 1.4 to the server which is a game rental server, it was patched to build 1005. That was about 2 weeks ago roughly. i'll submit a ticket to multiplay and hopefully they'll get it touch with you. cheers dude

Yeah, get them to update to 1008 and you should be good to go, those maps were edited slightly on the server side, so clients will crash if the server isn't matching.
