Topic: Launcher Error

Hey all.... nice to be back

Having an issue launching the game: Laucher starts ok; click launch & 2142 splash appears as normal.... then crashes back to desk top.

Event log error is as follows:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source (   ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 7.

I'm assuming i need to reinstall the mod, but am having issues with uninstall.

To be honest I have no idea what could cause this.  My only guess is, were you previously play 2142 in widescreen mode?  If so, in the launcher go to file > prefrences and in the arguments box add "+widescreen 1" (without the quotes) or it will CTD right away.

I've just had a moment of clarity... think i may have this sorted.

But its too stupid a mistake to admit too.... i'm actually embarassed.
