From what we are being led to belive, more co-op is being worked on.

If I didn't know the whole renaming shaders.zip and shaders.zip.bak method of fixing it I would of had 2 friends who besides being pissed would of likely uninstalled everything and started completely over. A lot of people out there who don't frequent forums.
The shaders thing shouldn't be happening anymore. A Launcher update a while back stopped the custom shaders because of the problems we were having regarding that problem. Other reasons that the Mod. Content would popup is unknown.
johhnyhavoc wrote:3. Can you fix Battle of Yavin so it doesn't need to be played "windowed"? On 4 machines, all with 4 GB RAM, 2 with 8600GTS and 2 with 9800GT all of them only play the map windowed. Let me tell you the little glitch caused by differing resolutions in a windowed pane with the offset cursor to buttons alignment sucks donkey balls. Meaning the label for the button is in 1 place but the actual clickable function is somewhere else.
Unfortunately, this is all down to NVIDIA's shoddy drivers. Unless they release better ones (not much chance for BF2142 or FS) there isn't much the FS team can do. You can play Yavin non-windowed if you turn off the 3D map before you load the map (don't turn it on during the map), or you can alt-tab out of the game once or twice, go back in and it sometimes works, until you turn on the 3D map again, that is.
4. Better building textures. Look at Rhen var and Bandomeer. Rhen var for example could definitely have snow or ice build up rather than the same grey texture on all surfaces. Meanwhile the buildings on Bandomeer with their segmented metal sessions looks very dated, amateur, uninspired (you pick)
I agree, there. Bandomeer was made by a community member(Zyth, IIRC), not a Dev. This meant he had to deal with the statics that were available. He had an industrial theme in mind for his map, and FS's only industrial-style statics were those from Ryloth - On Ryloth, the statics are spread out, with few clustered together, so the texture doesn't look as bland. It's been unveiled that at least one, if not both, Rhen Var maps are being "revamped", with better terrain layout and more balanced gameplay in mind. It is possible we will get some better textures along with it.
JohhnyHavoc wrote:5. Better flight physics for ships on planet based maps. It's laughable how an X-wing or skyhopper can come to an almost hovering stand still and camp a flag then accelerate forward to get out of harm's way. They're not 2142 gunships are they?
This may have something to do with the BF2142 engine, or it may be down to the fact it is VERY hard to code realistic flight physics without making it extremely hard to fly a starfighter. I do agree with you. The Lambda is good because it takes time to do everything. Taking off, landing, attacking or fleeing - A lambda can be stopped with teamwork, and it can do what it needs to with teamwork.
I agree with all the suggestions you put forward, I would really like to see them implimented.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated. I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.
