Re: SWTOR's new E3 trailer

The trailer was cool.

I haven't seen or know anything else about this game other than that though.

The bad guys looked like the helghans met darth vader and exchanged some fashion ideas. tongue Which is badass, I guess.

Re: SWTOR's new E3 trailer

the Starwars universe does not change technologically substantially through the films, or even from kotor to epiosde 6.
The technical guide indicates that technology kinda peaked when FTL wa developed and everyones ideas came together throughout the galaxy. New developments are very slow, or impractical applications of technology that was already there (super weapons mostly)

Things do change- the Empire shifts its focus from decent expendable cheap masses of tie fighters to the superb tie interceptor/defender programs.
The technology was mostly there though- look at the Jedi fighters for an indicator.

I was talking about aesthetics, not technological level.

Re: SWTOR's new E3 trailer

I don't like this game... KotOR3 should be made instead.

I won't judge if I like it or not until I play it.

Oh.
Well, i was thinking the same thing. But i like that...  the ancient sith Empire was using craft that look very like darth mauls sith infiltrator... which is reminicent of the future TIE fighters.

The also used pointed ISD type warships..

And Palpatine reinstated these things during his reign. They are all visual cues of the darkside technologically- finally, the sith ruled the galaxy in Ep III-VI.

Jedi look like jedi, the chick with the jetpack looks very mandalorian i'll admit. I'm sure there's some backstory there too.

Re: SWTOR's new E3 trailer

The problem with every KotOR game is that they re-use stuff all the time. Four thousand years later: still the same thing.
