Topic: Help with CTD when I click deploy.

Hi I'm new to the Forums and indeed First strike and I have a crash to desktop problem everytime I click deploy, help anyone?

You're joining a server that isn't the same version of FS as you. I had that happen too at first and found the answer on the forums. Try joining the BlackIntel, or Rebel Security Forces (RSF) servers.

thanks, I just sorted it out didn't have Bf2142 up to date but now I can sometimes join a game and it will crash to desktop and when I try to join an online game it crashes to the desktop while its loading. sad

Ok, did you update 2142 to 1.5, and THEN install FS?
Thats the correct order.

Once you do that. join RT, RSF or BI server and let us know what happened.

What order did you install?

I installed FS then updated BF2142 to 1.5.

You're going to have to reinstall it in the correct order then.

Uninstall BF2142

Reinstall BF2142
Update to 1.5
Install FS 1.4 [update with launcher]
Update PunkBuster

Play.
